One Life: Let’s Go Exploring

ChatGPT BikerHop on with Michele and Dave as they zip around the Great Yarmouth area on their motorbike, hunting out the quirkiest sights, tastiest bites, and coziest spots to kick back and be merry. From hidden gems and seaside surprises to local haunts you won’t find in the guidebooks, they share the laughs, little adventures, and memorable stops that make exploring the area so much fun. It’s all about good times, great food, and discovering the unexpected—two wheels at a time!

Coffee & SconeWell as biker Dave and his bikes are tucked up in the warm today, I have brought myself out here. Since I live fairly close it's a regular haunt of mine. Come summer it will be lovely here.

Today though I am shopping for plastic tubs. Fairly significant for me as I am at the beginning of a journey. That journey will take me back and forth to charity shops with plenty of donations. It is a journey I need to take for my own mental health. It will rid me of overwhelm, of guilt, embarrassment, and shame. A habit born of early trauma I am told. Have you guessed yet? I'm decluttering, big time!

It shames me to admit but I must have enough shoes to wear a different pair every day for......a year. Enough jackets and coats to last me a life time, and goodness knows what else. First step was admitting it to myself that I had a problem, then making a plan. Fitted wardrobes are what is needed, but first I have to empty the room...Oh no! 😱 That will take me an absolute age, spluttering and wheezing as I go. Yesterday I dropped two huge laundry bags full of clothing and shoes off and I'm feeling better already😃! More time to gad about with Dave, hurrah!

So about where I am. It's a little place just North of Martham. Home to the Museum of the Broads, a lovely Restaurant called Bridgestones, and of course Lathams. A sort of Woolies but different. I'm in Flour & Bean in Potter Heigham! I will let you know how I'm getting on and where I'm off to next. I promise it won’t be boring😊
