Roof Over Your Health: Helping our homeless community stay well
Your health matters.
Whether you are sleeping rough, sofa surfing, or staying in a hostel or B&B, please join us for a friendly, non-judgmental drop-in session designed to help you stay well and get the support you deserve.
Why attend?
Research shows that without a stable place to live, looking after your health is a huge challenge. Many people only get help when it becomes an emergency, resulting in poorer health outcomes. Our goal is to bring health advice and support directly to you to help you stay well and avoid a crisis visit to A&E.
What’s available on the day:
- Expert Health Advice: Chat with nurse specialists about any health concerns and learn how to get the right care when you need it.
- Free Essentials: We are giving away food, refreshments, clothing, and hygiene goody bags (including sanitary products and condoms).
- Connect with Support: Meet local teams who can help with housing, addiction, mental health, and smoking cessation.
- Cancer Champion Training: Take part in short, helpful training with Dr. Sarah Flindall to help you look out for yourself and others.
Who is this for?
This event is for anyone who does not have a permanent, safe place to call home. This includes those:
- Rough sleeping in the street, tents, or doorways.
- Sofa surfing with friends or family.
- Staying in temporary accommodation like B&Bs, hotels, or hostels.
- Living in unsafe housing.
This is a welcoming space created with the help of people who have been through these challenges themselves — get what you need without judgment.
