It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas........
Well it certainly is at Good Sports, where the annual Christmas Stocking Campaign is underway for 2025. This campaign has been running for 8 years and has gained support from a wide variety of sources. Aviva, Sainbury's, Lloyds Bank, generous individuals and many local businesses. 11,000 stockings have been distributed since 2018!! 
These stockings are filled with toys, games, warm hats and gloves, toiletries and goodies, that have been generously donated - all unopened and brand spanking new.
How wonderful to give some excitement and joy to children and adults, who, perhaps, may have very little to feel excited and joyful about. And how heart-warming it is to see children and parents getting involved in so many different ways.
Some children saved their pocket money to buy toys to put in the stockings. They shopped for the items themselves and the joy of giving was evident in their shining faces. This is what community spirit is all about - helping each other and having a good time doing it.
It's Christmas 2025 and Great Yarmouth has been taken over by elves - collecting donations, stuffing stockings, and making sure everyone knows when and where to come to.
